November 2022 Translations
This page contains some longer and/or multi-image translations that are too large to fit in tweets from November 2022. Includes a draft of Hanamaru Sauna, some personal illustrations about rurutea, and some bird doodles. It’s also a backlog of tweets I was unable to translate while on vacation in Taiwan. Enjoy!
I’m also changing the usual layout so mobile users don’t need to scroll past the original tweets to see the translations. From now on, the original tweets will be in the right column on desktop, and below the translations on mobile. Hope people like that better!

Hanamaru Sauna
C: When you’re feeling well, enjoy the sauna without overdoing it ♨️
I repeat steps 4 through 8 about 2-3 times. If I go alone, I tend to overdo it, so I enjoy it while thinking, “Koupen-chan is with me, so I should do it in moderation.” 🍀
How to get into the sauna
Wash your body
Warm up in the hot water
Dry your body
Enter the sauna (For about 5-15 minutes)
K: Entering quietly is great…
Speech bubble: An after-sauna meal is delicious!Rinse off the sweat
K: Hot water is great~Enter the cold bath (For about 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Dry your body… (Don’t forget to rehydrate)
Take an air bath (Rest) (For about 3-10 minutes)
#5 says 「汗をながす」 (ase wo nagasu). Thanks to Veth on Twitter for the correction! (I thought it was katakana, but it made no sense that way.)
Rurutea and Taiyaki
C: I was happy~

Is currently crazy about the limited-time cream cheese flavor —>

Shopkeeper: Please wait a bit~Freshly done
Shopkeeper: It’s piping hot, okay~
It’s always hot but this is the first time it’s piping hot. (Yay!!)
Goes to a place with no sigh of people
Delicious!! *crunch crunch* *chewy chewy(mochi)*
Luckyyy
*Taiyaki is a baked fish-shaped pastry with a filling, typically sweet red bean paste (azuki).
C: November 11th is Iwashita Shin-Shouga* Day!
Iwashita Shin-Shouga, or Iwashita New Ginger is a ginger company. You may recognize its cute pink deer mascot. Shin-shouga is pickled young ginger, hence the “new” or “young”.

K: It’s got an addicting flavor~!
Y: Ku ku ku…
Package that Koupen-chan is holding: Iwashita Shin-Shouga (the ginger package) (See below)

Right: It’s also the best on top of yakisoba!
My Favorite Way of Eating
When I recommend this to other people, they say, "It sounds gooey/sticky, ew, no," so I'd like to take this opportunity to mention that... (Downheartedly…)
Please don't try this if you can't handle spicy food!
Instant Mouko-san Noodles + Natto + Mekabu (thick wakame leaves) + Iwashita Young Ginger
Even thinner strips that I cut myself from sliced pieces.
C: Still Sleepy
K: Bed! (o-futon~!)
SFX: Whoosh
SFX: Fwoosh fwoosh fwoosh

A: Wash your hands, brush your teeth, and drink something
SFX: *sharp look*
C: 🐓 (Bird emoji)
Top left & Bottom middle: Haniwa (ハニワ ) (hollow unglazed terracotta figure from the Kofun period)
Top: Whoosh (ヒュー)
Top right: Standing by (待機)
Left: Standing by (待機)
Middle (flying gull): *shwip* (sui スィー)
Middle right: Metal sake jug (Chirori ちろり)
Bottom right: Hot sake (atsukan 熱燗)
C: When you cannot help but be exhausted…
P: For now, just forget everything and get some rest
K: Zzz…
A: I think I’ll take a break too-
My interpretation here is that Adelie-san is saying “オレもひと休みすっか”. “すっか“ is not a word, but rather, him slurring suru (する) and ka (か), giving a tone of mild uncertainty, hence the “I think”.
