Episode 9 - “Koupen-chan and Yokoshima Enaga-san's First Encounter - Part 1 -”
TN: Yokoshima Enaga and their buddies are a species of bird called Long-tailed Bushtits, or shima enaga in Japanese. The other bushtits seem unfamiliar with the word yokoshima, meaning evil, and think of stripes (shimashima) instead.
Yokoshima Enaga-san uses the word shuchuu (手中) for taking over the world (sekai wo shuchuu), but the other enaga mishears it as “world stew” (sekai shichuu). I translate this as “takeout” as that’s food-related and is more similar to the phrase “take over the world.”

Translator’s comment: Yokoshima Enaga-san probably seems unhappy about the summer solstice because not only is it the day with the longest period of daylight in the year, it also has the shortest period of nighttime.
